Along with serving as Board President Dr Bowie has served as the Chair of Partnerships for Strong Families Board of Directors, Is the Director of Recruitment Retention and Multicultural Affairs, Executive Director of Florida Funds for Sonority Teachers, Served as the 32nd President of the National Pan-Hellenic Society in 2003, the youngest president in its history.
Vice President Tony Jones
He presently is Gainesville Police Chief; He began as a Cadet and moved up through the ranks to Chief. He was one of the original founders of the Reichert House, has served on numerous Boards in the community and has received numerous local national and international awards including Outstanding Police Chiefs Internationally, and local MLK Community .award.
Secretary Diana McPherson
Retired Educator and Attorney, Mediator for Alachua County Court .has experience as Board member locally and statewide. Active with Delta Sigma Theta Inc. Is presently serving as Secretary and the Executive Committee of CAC
Treasurer Roberta Gastmeyer
Local bookkeeping service, Volunteer services to CAC. An active member of Sierra Club has local and statewide Board experience. New Board Member.
Erma Sams Owner Essence Events LLC.
Active in the Lavern Porter Dance Company. Has experience as member of Church Committees. Lacks experience on non profit Board. Has volunteered and organized fundraising dinner for CAC before becoming a BOD Member.
Agnes Leslie Administrator at UF African Studies Dept.,
Has marketing skills and has been supportive of CAC for more than 2 decades. She has Board experience
Barbara McDade Gordon Professor UF Geography Dept.
Barbara has served on a number of Gainesville community nonprofits boards and a long time supporter of CAC
Barbara is presently Ececutive Assistant to Vice President Student Affairs, has been an employee of Santa Fe for more than 30 years, hs served on PACE and United Way Boards. and a long time supporter of CAC.
